Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox made it through on a student's stipend as well as working part-time to supplement her earnings. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her skills compared to other students at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox was initially musician with the group Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She was the main voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992, her debut album as a solo artist. Both commercially as well as critically the album was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album debuted in October of 2014. This C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I Letting You Go... was released as the soundtrack to her exhibit of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
